Justin Howard is a local artist living in Ellijay, right in the middle North Georgia Mountains. He grew up near the beaches of north Florida. Justin was artistically inclined from a young age with sketching and building models. Carpentry, construction, fencing, and welding is his occupation for most of his adult life. He learned to weld at a commercial truss plant in North Carolina. While he was at the ranch one day, His passion for creating, and working with metal he farrier came by to shoe the horses there. He asked the farrier if he could have some of the old horseshoes, and they were given to him. After purchasing an inexpensive welder, and making a handful of items, he soon learned that he had found something he loves to do.
